The founder, Cameron Siemers, was 2 years old when he received a blood transfusion. Five years later, he was diagnosed HIV positive. Doctors told him he wouldn't live past age 10. He is now 25.
With recent breakthroughs in medicine, children with life-threatening illnesses are outliving their life expectancies and the miracle that found Cameron is becoming a reality for many like him. Although there are many foundations that support children with life-threatening illnesses, the Cameron Siemers Foundation for Hope was created to help children transition into adulthood.
